Meet... Scott Smith, BA (ECON), MBA, President
Scott Smith brings over 18 years of experience in Supply Chain Management, Value Stream Mapping and Continuous Improvement Facilitation.
Scott helps companies realize the huge potential that exists in reducing waste in any environment. He brings a fresh look at organizations that helps them focus on customer success.
He provides companies with the tools and thinking as he applies the ‘coach to competence’ model which helps companies and organizations from all sectors to better understand and improve their processes whether they are on the Manufacturing Floor, in an Office, a Supply Chain or an Administrative setting.
Scott has been involved with most aspects of Supply Management and Continuous Improvement, from conducting business analysis to developing supply chain strategies, championing the implementation of ERP Systems to developing and implementing a number of technology based Supply Solutions. Scott has also been instrumental in facilitating continuous improvement and development programs including exposing large opportunities in the procurement process.
Scott’s hands-on approach has allowed him to facilitate the changes required to realize the desired outcome and bring effective solutions to those who need it. His vision and leadership has made him a pioneer in number of areas, most notably in the development and leading the implementation of the Commodity Management program at Rockwell Automation.
In addition, he has served as a Corporate Business Analyst with Allen Bradley - Rockwell Automation and brings the breadth of his management systems thinking to companies of all sizes.
Scott brings his broad business background to bear on analyzing information flow in offices and across businesses. His leadership in executing Value Stream Maps in office environments of all kinds has lead to innovative applications such as the analyzing of the US-Canada border.
Through the use of Improvement Tools such as Lean Thinking, Value Stream Mapping, 5S, Pull Systems, Standardized Work, or Continuous Improvement Through Teams (CITT), Scott provides the coaching and facilitation that companies need to achieve the process improvement.
Scott's work in Supply Chain Management and Commodity Management was the basis for his MBA, which he received at Wilfrid Laurier University. His thesis on this subject was one of the first studies of its kind.
Scott holds a BA (Economics), and an MBA from Wilfrid Laurier University.
