HPS Inc. Forges Strategic Partnership with US-Based Datacraft Solutions to Offer Lean Manufacturing Software Solutions to Canadian Companies
Kitchener, Ontario -- Jan 1, 2004 --

HPS Inc. has signed a strategic partnership with Datacraft Solutions of Durham, North Carolina.  Datacraft Solutions provides software tools specifically designed to help companies in the implementation and automation of Lean Manufacturing processes.

HPS Inc. will act as the exclusive Canadian representatives for Datacraft’s flagship product, Signum, an automated Kanban replenishment system that incorporates over 15 years of implementation into a powerful lean tool for manufacturing and distribution companies.

Implementation of Signum software can help companies achieve significant reductions in processing and inventory costs while increasing the visibility of demand requirements for internal and external customers as well as suppliers. , saving manufacturers significant dollars that will add to the bottom line.   HPS Vice President and Senior Partner, Bob Kerr stated, “While traditional manual Kanban systems dramatically reduce inventory, Signum addresses issues regarding the lack of visibility of Kanban requirements for non-shop floor employees, suppliers and customers and at the same time reducing the number of transactions required by the shop floor employees that own the process.”

HPS Inc. works with manufacturing and distribution organizations across Canada, focusing specifically on the development and facilitation of learning networks and consortia, which bring non-competing companies together to share best practices and solutions.   HPS offers value-added solutions to companies focusing on becoming world-class competitors.  For further information contact Nicole Sivyer at 519-893-6260.
